Tulia to represent Poland at Eurovision 2019

Publish date: 2024-04-13

Last week, we were waiting for Polish broadcaster TVP’s announcement about Poland’s representative for Eurovision Song Contest, however, they delayed its reveal due to the number of submissions they received.

Now, finally, we have the long-awaited answer, and it’s the very special and successful folk girl group Tulia who will perform in front of thousands on the big stage in the colours of their country.

The four-piece band formed in 2018, and consists of four singers, by name Patrycja Nowicka, Dominika Siepka, Joanna Sinkiewicz and Tulia Biczak. They became well known for combining a traditional Eastern European style with modern music.

Perhaps they haven’t been in the music industry for a very long time, but still, they have already achieved big things, starting with performing at the prestigious FRYDERYKI 2018 gala, which is literally the Polish equivalent of the BRIT Awards, winning all three awards during the oldest and most important Polish Song Festival in Opole, appearing at countless festivals and receiving a platinum award for their debut album, after playing their very first tour – which was sold-out.

Their participating song will be revealed at a later date.

Poland’s entry last year was “Light Me Up” by Gromee featuring Lukas Meijer, and sadly, couldn’t advance to the Grand Final. Do you think Tulia will make it?
