Publish date: 2024-05-29

Singer and actress Hilary Duff is talking about marriage, work and being a single mother in the February Issue of REDBOOK.

Duff, who has a three-year-old son, and the former hockey player  Mike Comrie got a divorce in the summer of 2014. She reveals to the magazine that she isn’t sure if she’ll ever get married again. She says: “I don’t want to say I wouldn’t get married again, but it’s not important to me. I don’t feel I would need to be married to have another child. If I felt strongly enough toward someone or if someone felt strongly about it, I might say okay. But it’s not essential.”

2015 has been a busy working year for Hilary Duff. She released her first album, Breathe In. Breathe Out, in over eight years. The actress is also currently working on the TV show Younger where she plays Kelsey Peters who is the work BFF of a newly single mom who lies about how old she is in order to get a job. Duff also told REDBOOK about the guilt she feels when she’s working. She said that “It’s hard to say that you really can have it all. I think you can to a certain degree, but fully loaded, pedal-all-the-way-down is tough. You’re missing out on something, either on the career or on the family. When I’m really busy with work, I feel extremely guilty.”
